Special Requirements

 

Health Equity CE:  Effective 12/24/2022, Washington State will require all healthcare provides who need to take CE to maintain licensure complete two hours of health equity CE (which includes implicit bias training) every four years for all health professionals credentialed under RCW 18.130.040 with a CE requirement.   Please see our topic:  Implicit Bias


TeleHealth Requirement:  Health care professionals in the State of Washington who provide services through telemedicine are required to obtain training in Telemedicine on or before June 30, 2021.  Our courses TeleHealth 201 or TeleHelalth 202 meet the requirement for Telemedicine training for the State of Washington as specified in RCW 43.70.495.


Suicide Sceening and Assessment:  3 hours of suicide screening and assessment - See our Topic Suicide Assessment and take Washington State Suicide Assessment and Referral.  This course has been approved by the Washington Department of Health as an approved training program for the mandated Suicide Assessment CE requirement and is listed on the Model List of suicide training for health professionals.  This one-time training must be completed by the end of the first full reporting period after January 1, 2016 or during the first full continuing education reporting period after initial licensure, whichever is later.
